Was just at Taos Pride this weekend and I really want to get back into Flamenco Dancing. Sure, I only did it for a week about a decade ago.
Staying at my dad’s place has really made me non physical. I used to exercise. I used to jump around in front of my TV. The playstation would be pushing out P90 stuff. It was pretty nice. At least I felt a little healthy once in a while. In the last 6 months I have gained 6 lbs. Yay?
Would love to paint and occasionally break out a few dance moves while swishing my brush around. Just need to make myself a small platform to stomp down on. There is plenty more to do. Just want to get started. Actually, moving towards all the latin dances would be very nice. Would love to spend more time with Salsa, and Tango.
Spent a little time online searching for appropriate boots to wear while practicing flamenco. Figured I might just start with some YouTube videos, though I am afraid of developing bad habits. Juan Siddi apparently comes up to teach flamenco classes in Taos. That is probably the first place to start. Now to find out which dance studio hosts the classes. I may just have to check with Adair Landborn.
The classes are from 2:00 to 3:30 at Taos Youth Ballet on Sundays.
