I chose a bright, uplifting palette—bold blues, warm ochres, and playful pinks—to reflect the hues found in local textiles, the desert flora, and sky.
You could say I use loose, expressive brushstrokes. Not trying to be too detailed. Learning to layer color to highlight both her gentle features and her clothing. I tried to convey a sense of calm resilience in her gaze—something I see often in the people, shaped by a unique blend of tradition and modern life. The background’s soft, painterly swirls hopefully echo the shifting tones of the high desert light, framing her figure with a slight glow.
